U.G.M Growth

The Union for the Gospel Ministries (U.G.M) was founded in 1981 by Nathaniel Kigwila and his friend Julius Bundala during a prayer and fasting pilgrimage on a Tanzanian mountaintop. God gave Nathaniel a vision for an organization to promote unity and cooperation among Christian leaders and believers, strengthening Tanzania's ability to reach lost souls.

Late in 1983 God began to open many doors’ for UGM. National service camps. We were invited to preach in schools, hospitals, army and which had never heard of the gospel. During this Period, UGM Coordinated prayers efforts. UGM then disciple the many new converts, as well as strengthen the resources of the local church bodies.

This rapid expansion of UGM, due to God’s blessings and ministries in Tanzania with a strategic plan to reach the affiliates as well as many ministries to carry forth the gospel.

Today, Tanzania is one of the countries in Africa with a growing population. With over 68 million people, and 25% of the country still unevangelized, Tanzania is a tremendous open door for the Kingdom of God.
